The City of St. Louis Park recognizes that providing housing options and programs that accommodate the needs of people of all ages and diverse backgrounds helps to build a strong community and sense of ownership. The housing activity report is updated annually and provides an overview of housing activity from the previous year. 

The city regularly contracts to have a comprehensive housing study conducted that provides detailed information about the city’s current housing stock, demographics, and anticipated future needs. The most recent study was conducted by Maxfield Research and completed in 2023.

St. Louis Park Housing Authority

The St. Louis Park Housing Authority (HA) is responsible for administering programs that ensure the availability of safe and desirable affordable housing options in the community. These rental assistance programs include:

The housing authority also provides guidance to city council on housing-related matters. 

Housing Authority Board

The Housing Authority Board oversees the administration of the city's low and moderate-income housing programs. The commission adopted the PHA 5 - Year and Annual Plan, which identifies the housing authority's goals and objectives to serve the needs of low-income families for the next five years and reports the progress made on meeting the goals and objectives from the previous five-year plan.

Public Hearing Notice

Housing Authority of St. Louis Park (HA) has updated its Capital Fund Five Year Action Plan 2024 - 2028, Five Year Agency Plan 2025 – 2029, 2025 Annual Plan, Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) and the Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan. The HA Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the draft plans Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN 554016.
 
Members of the public who want to address the HA Board during the hearing may attend the meeting in person. If you cannot attend in person, written or emailed comments will be accepted and must be received by 3:30 p.m. the day of the meeting. Written comments may be submitted to the city via U.S. mail or via email to molson@stlouisparkmn.gov.
