City Council Meeting

Westwood Hills Nature Center is the star of the show at the Aug. 19, 6:30 p.m. St. Louis Park City Council meeting, with recognition of this year’s junior naturalists followed by a presentation of a Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association Award of Excellence for the 2018 Be the Light winter solstice event, which brings awareness to mental health issues. Also at the meeting, youth and regular representatives will be appointed to several boards and commissions. The council will host a public hearing on the first reading of an interim ordinance extending the moratorium on the use and development of the former Sam’s Club property at 3745 Louisiana Ave. S. and will consider authorizing installation of an all-way stop at the intersection of Zarthan Avenue and 29th Street.
