The St. Louis Park Planning and Zoning Division works with citizens, businesses and community leaders to shape the appearance, use and development of St. Louis Park. Division staff administer the comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances, prepare reports and studies of redevelopment and long-range plans, and provide information and assistance to citizens, businesses and developers.

Planning applications
The following permit applications require board of zoning appeals, planning commission or city council approval. Call 952.924.2575 for more information before completing your application.
Planning application checklists
Prior to submitting a planning application, review the appropriate planning application checklists below to ensure you submit a complete application. Incomplete applications will be sent back to the applicant to resubmit the missing or incomplete items. Applications will only be reviewed after all the necessary items are submitted.

Green building policy
St. Louis Park encourages the use of green building practices whenever possible. Compliance with the Green Building Policy is required for all new planned unit developments (PUDs) and for certain construction projects that receive city financial assistance.
