Official documents often need to be notarized (signed by a notary public). A notary public is someone who is appointed by the state with the main purpose of confirming the identity of the person(s) signing a document. The notary public doesn't verify, interpret or confirm the contents of a document.

Neither the notary public nor other city employees can act as a witness. The document holder should consult with their legal counsel (or the entity with which they are working) for assistance with documents that must be witnessed, as the city doesn't provide this service.

The City of St. Louis Park provides notary services to residents at no charge, at the following locations, during regular business hours. Please call ahead to ensure a notary public will be available at the time you plan to stop by for service.
