The St. Louis Park Community Development Department is responsible for:

• The zoning ordinance, comprehensive plan and other documents that guide land use
• Planning studies
• Home remodeling and first-time homebuyer programs
• Subsidized housing programs for qualifying residents
• Economic development and redevelopment efforts
• Small business and commercial loan programs

The department has three divisions:

• Economic development
• Housing
• Planning and zoning

Staff members include housing, economic development and city planning  specialists, and support staff.
