The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

City offices are closed Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The St. Louis Park City Council gathers Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 7:20 p.m. for an economic development authority meeting to address an amendment to the redevelopment agreement for The Elmwood. The regular council meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. The main items of business are public hearings for a liquor license for The Local-Westend at 1607 Park Place Blvd.; the city’s 2019 pavement management project in the Pennsylvania Park, Willow Park and Eliot View neighborhoods; and for imposing franchise fees on Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy to help fund the city’s pavement management program.
