The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

City Council Meeting

2018 St. Louis Park Police Officer of the Year Matthew Blomsness and Officer Jacob Erickson, award of valor recipient, will be recognized at the Monday, May 20, 7:30 p.m. St. Louis Park City Council meeting. Additionally, the council will declare May 25 as Betty Engebretson Day, in honor of this longtime city resident who turns 100 on that day; and will recognize James Gainsley posthumously for his 40 years of service on the city’s board of zoning and appeals. Other items of business include the annual storm water pollution prevention program public hearing, consideration of an amendment to the zero waste packaging ordinance and zoning amendments for mixed use districts and home occupations.
