The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

City Council Study Session

Note: This study session will be held at Wat Thai of Minnesota, 2544 Hwy. 100 S., St. Louis Park. This meeting is open to the public. 

At its Monday, Dec. 9, 6:30 p.m. study session, the St. Louis Park City Council will be provided with an overview of the results from a local option sales tax study conducted by the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Community Vitality. Following the presentation, council will discuss projects of regional significance that may be funded by such a tax and review the required legislative process to allow for a local referendum on a local option sales tax. Other agenda topics include a use guide for the affordable housing trust fund and discussion of designating Election Day as a city holiday. Read the full agenda and reports.
