The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

City Council Study Session (by video conference)

  • Date: March 30, 2020 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

All meetings of the St. Louis Park City Council will be conducted by telephone or other electronic means starting March 30, 2020, and until further notice. This is in accordance with a local emergency declaration issued by Mayor Jake Spano March 16, 2020, in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Additionally, city facilities are closed to the public through April 10 in keeping with the March 25, 2020, Executive Order 20-20 issued by Gov. Tim Walz directing Minnesotans to Stay at Home through March 28-April 10. 

Some or all members of the St. Louis Park City Council will participate in the March 30, 2020 special study session by electronic device or telephone rather than by being personally present at the city council's regular meeting place at 5005 Minnetonka Blvd.

Cisco Webex will be used to conduct videoconference meetings of the city council, with council members and staff participating from multiple locations.
