The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

EDA/City Council Meeting/Special Study Session

The St. Louis Park City Council meets Monday, Nov. 1, at 6:20 p.m. for an economic development authority (EDA) meeting, then a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. A special study session will be held immediately after the regular meeting, to discuss the topic of smoking restrictions on restaurant, bar and distillery outdoor patio spaces. Members of the public may attend the meeting in person at St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd., St. Louis Park; or watch live by webstream at bit.ly/watchslpcouncil and on local cable (Comcast SD channel 17/HD channel 859). Note that city council meetings through Nov. 1 will be held in the community room, first floor of St. Louis Park City Hall, while the council chambers are used for early (absentee) voting.
