The city council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park city hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda.

Meetings may be canceled or rescheduled at any time, provided the council meets at least once per month. City council meetings are not held on holidays recognized by the city council. View a complete list of council approved holidays.

The city council rules of procedure provide guidelines for the conduct of public business by the council. This includes conduct of meetings, the agenda and order of business, and general rules of order. View city council rules of procedure.

City Council Study Session

The St. Louis Park City Council meets for a study session Monday, Feb. 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the third floor of St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd, St. Louis Park. Study sessions are open to the public, although no public comment is taken.

Discussion topics include a proposed tenant protection ordinance and naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) preservation workgroup initiatives; request for funding for the St. Louis Park Nest, an idea developed by St. Louis Park High School students to create a space for students and community members; an application for TIF assistance from Platia Place Apartments & Hotels; a discussion of preliminary layout for a 2019 Louisiana Avenue project between Oxford St. and Excelsior Blvd.; and an update on activities and initiatives in the Historic Walker Lake Area.
