Council Member Paul Baudhuin began his term as council member in 2024. Baudhuin has been a resident of St. Louis Park since 2012. He is a United Methodist pastor and has spent the majority of his professional career serving churches throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, most recently Aldersgate United Methodist in St. Louis Park.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts from the University of Minnesota and a master’s in divinity from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. In summer 2023, he took a leave from congregational ministry to pursue other endeavors, including running for St. Louis Park City Council.

Baudhuin is a substitute teacher at St. Louis Park High School. He served on the St. Louis Park Family Services Collaborative Board and the City of St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission. He is also a broadcaster on ParkTV for high school football and basketball, and has been a proud substitute trivia host at Parkway Pizza trivia night.

His wife, Betsy, is a psych nurse practitioner. Together, they have three children, two of whom graduated from St. Louis Park Public Schools and one who graduated from Perpich Arts High School in Golden Valley. They also have two canine rescue children named Reggie and Larry.

On a good day, you can find Baudhuin on his bike or at Target Field. And on a really good day, you can find him on his bike on his way to Target Field. Paul loves St. Louis Park and is proud and humbled to serve it in this way.
