Below are the current ice skating and hockey programs available. Visit the online registration website for more information and to register.

Important information

• Fee includes skate rental, ISI membership, three free sessions to public skating and practice ice (if available).
• Protective headgear is required for all beginner skaters. Bicycle or lightweight hockey helmets are acceptable.
• Practice ice (if available) on the day of class is available for registered skaters and the parents of Snowplow class participants only.
• No shoes or boots on the ice.
• Skaters should wear warm, comfortable clothing, including gloves and mittens.
• First-time skaters and those using rental skates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
• Skaters may be moved at instructor discretion throughout the session to a level that is appropriate for them.
• Students may remain in the same level for a few sessions before mastering the skills needed to move up to the next level. Skaters that desire to progress more quickly are encouraged to register for two classes a week.
• Class assignments are not guaranteed. Classes may be combined with others or canceled if the minimum number has not been met.

If you are not sure what level to register for, please register them as follows:

• Skaters who are 6 years old and younger, who have little or no skating experience, should sign up for Beginner Snowplow.
• Skaters who are 7 years old and older, who have little or no skating experience, should sign up for Basic 1/Pre-Alpha. This class moves a little faster than Beginner Snowplow classes.

Skaters at be moved during the first few weeks of class to a level that is appropriate or more comfortable for them.

Class assignments are not guaranteed. Classes may be combined with others or canceled if the minimum number has not been met. Email skate@stlouisparkmn.gov for any questions.

The deadline to register for classes is two weeks prior to the start of the next session. If there are wait lists, priority will be given to skaters registered for the previous session. Add your name to the waitlist if a class is full. Additional classes may be added.

Fees 

Fees are $78 per skater for residents and $86 for non-residents. There is a reduced fee for Team Skate and Moves, Power, Edges -$50 per skater for residents and $59 for non-residents. Fees includes skate rental, ISI weSkate membership, practice ice and three free open skate passes.
