St. Louis Park's annual snowplow naming contest is back! Residents are able to submit their punniest, most creative, most snow-tastic ideas for a snowplow name from Sept. 13 – Oct. 4. Public works staff will then choose their top 10 names from the submissions, and online voting will be open Oct. 21 – Nov. 1 for the community to vote for their favorite.

The winner(s) will have the option to:

  • Take a photo with the plow and crew.
  • Tour the Municipal Service Center.
  • Ride in the snowplow. You can choose from a ride in the plow around the city or a ride to school (must be a St. Louis Park school).

Last year, St. Louis Park held its first ever snowplow naming contest and the winning name was The Big Snowplowski, submitted by Rebecca Thelan. Keep an eye out for The Big Snowplowski clearing streets after snowstorms.

Submissions were accepted through Oct. 4, at 11:59 p.m.
