The City of St. Louis Park sustainability division offers cost-share programs to help residents, businesses and organizations take sustainable action.

Building Operations Champion

The city offers cost-share funds for nationally-accredited Building Operator Certification (BOC) training. Tuition reimbursements are also provided by CenterPoint Energy and Xcel Energy, substantially reducing the costs of the training course. This workforce development training focuses on efficient building operations, saving owners money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Climate Champions

Climate Champions is St. Louis Park’s energy guidance, cost-share and recognition program. Single-family homes, businesses, multifamily buildings and organizations can receive a free or reduced cost whole-building energy assessment, assistance with navigating upgrades, partial reimbursement from the city for energy efficiency projects and recognition for their efforts.

Depave SLP

Through Depave SLP, property owners may receive a partial reimbursement when they remove pavement (asphalt or concrete) and replace it with native plants, trees, rain gardens, pollinator habitats or permeable pavers.

Shade SLP

Through the Shade SLP cost-share tree planting program, commercial and nonprofit property owners can hire any vendor to plant up to three trees on their property and the city will share the cost.
