Demolition for the former McGarvey Coffee site commenced Oct. 17, 2017. The site, which was purchased by the St. Louis Park EDA in 2015, will be developed into a mixed-use, mixed-income creative community with 299 dwelling units, a 100-room hotel, retail, and various other amenities.

St. Louis Park residents are invited to participate in PulsePoint, a smart phone app that allows CPR-trained citizens to provide lifesaving assistance to nearby victims of sudden cardiac arrest. The St. Louis Park Fire Department has led the effort to implement PulsePoint in St. Louis Park, making the city among the first communities in Minnesota to provide this service to residents.
